`Hi! I'm a New Englander by birth (okay... a northerner, a Yankee), but I've lived in Va. Beach for 37 years. Love it here. I'm a recent widow and am living in a retirement community. My friends think I'm funny and I appreciate that they get my sense of humor. It's 'different'! Love to laugh and enjoy all types of people. Life is a learning experience and there is so much to learn about all the cultures that surround us. The only thing I'm not happy about is not having that special someone to go to dinner with, or to social functions. And especially in the evening when it is lonely and I resort to talking to my cat. I'm a writer so that helps me earn a little extra income now and then. I don't dwell on things that I can't do anything about. I stay positive and try very hard to avoid being around negative people. Oh, and I consider Senior Citizens to be anyone over 65 years old. I've already raised my family......
